Hi! My name is Mary Alex and I am with Environment Massachusetts, an environmental advocacy nonprofit. We’re working on a campaign to protect critically endangered Right whales, and I’m writing because we were hoping to swing by Falmouth Farmers Market on Thursday, Aug 22 to spread awareness and gather support for the whales. Would that be possible? And is there any information we need to share with you beforehand?
Will the Farmer’s Market be there on July 4, or swirched to another day?
Hi Susan, there will be no market on July 4th. We will be back next week on July 11. Happy 4th!
Hi there!
I am interested in selling our hand dyed garments at the market, which- we’ve not yet attended before as a vendor. Could you direct us as to how we might apply? Thank you.
We are not able to host artist vendors at this point, but you can check out the Falmouth Art Market held on Tuesdays https://falmouthartmarket.com/
Is it possible to donate canned type foods or other shelf stable products to the Assistance Center, as well as fresh produce from the market ?
Mary
Hello! Yes, the share your bounty collection at the Market (for the Falmouth Service Center) accepts canned goods and shelf stable grocery items as well.
Are dogs allowed?
Well behaved dogs on leashes (and their humans who clean up after them) are welcomed.
Hi. Is fresh goats milk sold there? My mom loves this milk and I’d love to buy local if possible
Hello,
We do not have a goat’s milk vendor. Best bet would be to try to buy direct from a farmer with dairy goats. You may want to search on this site: https://guide.farmfreshri.org/?zip=02540
Best of luck!
Lindsey
I receive food stamps (snap). Do you accept that?
Yes, we have two vendors that participate in the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) and we give a SNAP bonus of up to $10 for every $10 you swipe with us. Stop by the green market information tent for all the details. 🙂
When does the market open this spring?? Is there an egg vendor from the Falmouth area?
Hi! The market will open Thursday, May 24 at noon. Eggs are sometimes available from Pariah Dog Farm (a Falmouth farm) and Silverbrook Farm (from Dartmouth).
Thanks for checking in!
Are there crafts there also?
Hi, we are an agricultural-product based market. We do not have arts & crafts. There is an art market in town that you might check with.
Thanks!
What day and time is the market in Falmouth?
Thursdays from noon to 6 pm at Marine Park overlooking Falmouth Harbor. Hope to see you there!
