Weekly Update: June 25, 2015

Strawberries abound. Peachtree Circle Farm has added strawberry jams and Green Briar Nature Center & Jam Kitchen has sun-cooked strawberries in syrup—sinfully delicious over ice-cream. Early summer vegetables are coming into their own and hard-neck garlic is scaping.

It’s officially summer—the June solstice happened Sunday—and Falmouth Fireworks will be selling T-shirts and hats at the market to raise funds for the July 4 firework display. In its 37th year, this highlight of our summer brings joy to thousands; do pitch in.
